[edit]supp (plural supps)
- (video games, slang) A support (in a competitive video game, a player or character who supports or heals their team's players rather than directly engaging enemies).

- last season i got myself to g4 by abusing swain and other mage supps.

- Is there any hero that actually builds blink dagger to specifically blink away from a fight? Mostly its an initiation item. Even supps like Oracle and SD build it more to be able to hide and then jump to save carry afaik. Blink can be used to disengage, but I don't think that's ever the primary explicit goal of the hero building it.
- 2023 September 19, u/sankara123, “Are supports really OP?”, in Reddit[3], r/Overwatch, archived from the original on 18 November 2023:
- Nah supps were garbage in S1 unless you have short term memory. Dps were overturned due to the passive and they had to buff a few supps (remember the +5 mercy pistol bullets?) and remove the dps passive because of how strong it was. Although I agree that support is definitely the strongest role now.
