[edit]subjective case (plural subjective cases)
- (grammar) The form of a noun or pronoun used as the subject of a finite verb. In the active_voice this is the agent, in the passive_voice the subject is the receiver of the action. In both cases the subject is the thing subjected to what is said about it, it is the “topic of the statement”.
