- (countable) An overseer or superintendent.
- 1799, William Tooke, A View of the Russian Empire during the Reign of Catharine II and to the close of the present Century:
- the stewartry of provisions
- The role or office of a steward; stewardship.
- (Scotland) The jurisdiction of a steward, or the lands under such jurisdiction.
