  1. Any of several types of plants that have leaves or other parts that resemble spider legs, including:
    1. of genus Chlorophytum
      1. especially of species Chlorophytum comosum of green and white variegated evergreen perennial plants, grown as houseplants.
    2. of species Saxifraga flagellaris (whiplash saxifrage)
    3. of genus Cleome (spiderflowers)
