- to be cheap, to be stingy, to skimp
- Synonym: knussla
- Så dyrt är det inte. Sluta snåla!
- It's not that expensive. Stop being so cheap!
- Snåla inte med ketchupen
- Don't skimp on the ketchup
- (when clear from context, semi-ironic) to economize
- Vi måste snåla för att klara vintern
- We need to economize to make it through the winter
- (with ihop) to scrape together (through being frugal)
