slå opp (present tense slår opp, past tense slo opp, supine slått opp or slege opp, past participle oppslått or oppslegen, imperative slå opp)

  1. (intransitive, idiomatic) to break up (to end a relationship)
  2. (reciprocal, intransitive) to break up, end a relationship with each other
  3. (transitive) to mount in a high location for all to see (e.g. an announcement)
  4. (transitive) to publish with big headlines
  5. (transitive) to open (e.g. books, doors, etc.)
  6. (transitive, intransitive, by extension) to look up (something) in a book
