[edit]Apparently from dialectal Belarusian скленіца (skljenica) and dialectal Polish sklenica. By surface analysis, Old East Slavic стькло (stĭklo) + -nīčė. Compare obsolete Lithuanian sklėnyčia, skleinyčia, (most likely) non-cognate Czech sklenice.
