1. The person or entity to whom something is shown.

     When you show a credential there's a protocol whereby the showee has assurance that the shower possesses a credential of the particular type without actually seeing the bit string.

   • 2013, Peter Siemund, Varieties of English: A Typological Approach, page 220:

     A situation of showing implies a 'shower' (the person showing) and the thing shown, as well as the person shown to (the 'showee').
