[edit]Noun
[edit]seseo m (plural seseos)
- an accent in Spanish and Galician that pronounces z, and c before e or i, as /s/ rather than /θ/
Usage notes
[edit]- Someone who has a seseo accent would pronounce the words caza, meaning 'hunt' or he or she hunts, and casa, meaning house, with a [s] sound. The words would sound identical. This accent can be typically found in the north-central of Spain and throughout the Americas.
