    • 43 BCEc. 17 CE, Ovid, The Heroines 1.55–56:
      sēmisepulta virum curvīs feriuntur arātrīs
      ossa, ruīnōsās occulit herba domōs.
      Half-buried bones of heroes are struck by the curving plough, and grass conceals the ruined houses.
