English

[edit]

Verb

[edit]

see someone's etchings (third-person singular simple present sees someone's etchings, present participle seeing someone's etchings, simple past saw someone's etchings, past participle seen someone's etchings)

  1. (idiomatic, informal, innuendo) To have sex with (someone).
    Synonym: view someone's etchings
Would you like to see my etchings?

Usage notes

[edit]
  • Ian Stuart-Hamilton's An Asperger Dictionary of Everyday Expressions notes that this is rarely used as "an invitation to have sexual intercourse",[1] presumably speaking of real-life situations. However, this sense remains common in fiction.
