Usage notes

[edit]

When used to modify a noun, seacht triggers eclipsis of a following noun, which is in the genitive plural; déag follows the noun.

The form aon deich a seacht was prescribed by Peadar Ua Laoghaire in the 1920s, but it is unclear whether it has ever been used by native speakers.
