[edit]Etymology
[edit]Past participle of scrie, formed through analogy with other -e ending third-conjugation verbs like drege > dres, merge > mers, înțelege > înțeles (however, compare also an attested Late Latin past participle scrīpsus). Replaced older form script, from Latin scrīptus (still preserved in Aromanian variant form scriptu).
