[edit]sarcophilous (comparative more sarcophilous, superlative most sarcophilous)
- Having an affinity or fondness for flesh.
- 1965, Journal of Conchology, volume 25, page 284:
- Mr. A. E. Ellis is of the opinion that it is sarcophilous, being so abundant amongst bones in old graves; Gray (1840, 192) refers to its presence in Saxon coffins.
- 1974, Black Belt, volume 12, number 4, page 11:
- Indian Romeos […] have yielded to the temptation to pat, feel, pinch and brush against the more irresistible and accessible portions of women who come within discreet cop-a-feel distance.
However sarcophilous the Indian gentlemen are, the ladies are taking umbrage to such familiarity and have accomplished two things. One is a well-motivated desire to study self-defense and various forms of martial arts.
