[edit]Borrowed from Spanish zaragatona, from Andalusian Arabic زَرْقَطُونَا (zarqaṭūnā), from Classical Syriac ܙܪܱܥ ܩܱܛܘܿܢܳܐ (zəraʿ qaṭṭōnā, “fleawort”).
