[edit]From rubber band + -ing, referring to the fact that when two objects are connected by an elastic band then the movement of one is constrained by the other.

- (computing, graphical user interface) A technique in which one point or object moves while attached to another point or object, as when dragging out a new shape in a drawing program.
- (video games, racing games) The speeding up of computer-controlled cars far behind the player, often as a method to increase the level of challenge provided to the player.
- (video games) A form of lag (delay) where the player's position is updated on their local client but is delayed reaching the server, so that they seem to "jump" to the new location when the client and server eventually synchronize.
