Usage notes
[edit]- retransmitir tends to be used for sporting games. For radio or television programmes and series, emitir is mainly used.
- In radio or television broadcasts, retransmitir means only to broadcast, and not to rebroadcast, despite retransmitir being formed by the prefix re-. The translation for "to rebroadcast" is repetir, volver a emitir, reemitir or transmitir en diferido.
