1. (rowing, transitive) To catch (a boat) again, in a bumps race.
   • 1884, The Oxford Magazine, volume 2, page 268:

     The next day we were able to rebump Merton before they caught Lincoln, so could only row over, but on Wednesday we bumped Lincoln in the Gut.
