- (transitive) to take back, bring back, restore
- (transitive) to draw, pull (back)
- (reflexive) to come down, be reduced (à to)
- (reflexive, informal) to roll up, to get one's butt somewhere
- Synonym: débarquer
- Il s’est ramené sans prévenir. ― He turned up with no warning.
- Ramène-toi ! ― Get yourself over here!
Conjugation
[edit]This verb is conjugated like parler, except the -e- /ə/ of the second-to-last syllable becomes -è- /ɛ/ when the next vowel is a silent or schwa -e-, as in the third-person singular present indicative il ramène and the third-person singular future indicative il ramènera.
