quickwork (countable and uncountable, plural quickworks)

  1. (nautical, archaic) All of the submerged section of a vessel's planking.
  2. (nautical, archaic) The planking between the spirketing and the clamps.
  3. (nautical, archaic) The short planks between the portholes.
