[edit]From Proto-Khasian *ɲi, likely from Proto-Austroasiatic *rt1ah. Cognate with Khmer រន្ទះ (rŭəntĕəh, “lightning, thunderbolt”), Mon လတး (“lightning strikes”) and with Kuy /nthàːh/.[1]
