[edit]The term includes all PTMs classified by the PSI-MOD ontology (which uses PSI-MS standardized names for protein modifications), except those classified as reagent derivatized residues (MOD:00848) or isotope labeled residues (MOD:00702).

[edit]proteoform (plural proteoforms)
- A specific molecular form of a protein product arising from a specific gene.
- Any of a group of related protein molecules arising from all combinatorial sources of variation giving rise to products arising from a single gene. These include products differing due to genetic variation, alternatively spliced RNA, transcripts, and post-translational modifications.
