    • 1681, Lauder Fountainhall, Historical Observes of Memorable Occurrents in Church and State, page 25:
      Of the præſumption Minarum præcedentium et damni ſecuti, ſee the criminal lawyers, requiring they be malæ famæ, and ſuch qui minas exequi ſoliti ſunt; and the forſaid præſumption of damnum minas ſubſequens, takes mainly place in malefices committed by witches.
