pluralia tanta

From Wiktionary, the free dictionary

English

[edit]

Noun

[edit]

pluralia tanta

  1. (nonstandard) plural of plurale tantum

Usage notes

[edit]
  • Derived from the mistaken assumption that tantum is being used as an adjective rather than an adverb. It thus literally translates to "plurals so great" and is far less common than the correct form pluralia tantum.[1]
