  1. A signal or process with a frequency spectrum such that the spectral energy density is proportional to the reciprocal of the frequency .
    • 2005, John G. Holden, Gauging the Fractal Dimension of Response Times from Cognitive Tasks[1]:
      It was Gilden, Thorton, and Mallon (1995) who first reported pink noise in response time variability during the fundamentally cognitive task of estimating fixed intervals of time.
