[edit]phytoglycogen (countable and uncountable, plural phytoglycogens)
- A highly biocompatible polysaccharide extracted from plants, especially millet.
- 2016 March 3, “Molecular Structure of Human-Liver Glycogen”, in PLOS ONE[1], :
- If the bond joining β particles together to form α particles was not more acid-labile than the glycosidic linkages holding glycogen together, then the single α-particle peak would decrease over time but remain monomodal, as is seen when phytoglycogen is acid-hydrolyzed.
