[edit]From Danish person, from French personne, from Old French persone (“human being”), from Latin persōna (“mask used by actor; role, part, character”), perhaps a loanword; compare Etruscan 𐌘𐌄𐌓𐌔𐌖 (φersu), from Ancient Greek πρόσωπον (prósōpon).
