- (psychiatry) A proposed personality disorder characterized by a pervasive pattern of negativistic attitudes and passive resistance to demands for adequate performance in social and occupational situations.
Usage notes
[edit]- This mental disorder was introduced in DSM-III-R and removed in DSM-IV. “Personality disorder not otherwise specified” may be used instead. The disorder can still be found in ICD-10.
