pakuine
Appearance
Veps
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Uncertain. The morphology suggests that the term relates to a hypotethical noun *pakkoi which might probably have meant a plant used for colouring things in yellow, but *pakkoi is not known in Veps, Ludian, or other surrounding languages and dialects (Tunkelo 1946: 791, 805–807; SVJ: 396–397).
