1. (transitive) To shower from above; to dispense liberally to.

     […] they are said to hate and punish wrong and violence; they may show mercy to those who call upon them in their afflictions, their faithful worshipper they overshower with favors.

2. (intransitive) To shower (wash one's body in a shower) too much or too long.

     Don't overshower. Wetting the skin is a vicious cycle. You want to add moisture to your skin by trapping it under the moisturizer, but you don't want to strip away moisture.
