[edit]From Ancient Greek ὠτός (ōtós, “ear”) + ῥίς (rhís, “nose”) (genitive singular ῥινός (rhinós)) + λάρυγξ (lárunx, “throat”) (genitive singular λάρυγγος (lárungos)) + -logo, or a back-formation from otorrinolaringología.
