Adjective

originable (not comparable)

  1. (archaic) Capable of being originated.
    • 1887, The Methodist Review, volume 69, page 771:
Self-poisoning is shown to be originable in the failure to burn off, by means of the oxygen which enters the blood in respiration, the poisonous substances formed in the body by the expenditure of force in living, and that this poison may afterward spread by contagion, and especially in overcrowded and underfed communities.
