1. (zoology, ornithology) Of or pertaining to birds of the family Opisthocomidae, which is represented by the sole extant genus Opisthocomus and species Opisthocomus hoazin (hoazin).

     Opisthocomus lives upon fruits, leaves, etc. […] No fossil forms of opisthocomine birds are known.
