[edit]Inherited from Proto-Bantu *mʊ̀jòjò (“life, spirit; heart”). Cognate with Phuthi ḿmoyá (“wind; spirit”), Kikuyu muoyo (“life”), Swahili moyo (“heart; courage”) and Chichewa moyo (“life”).
