- (engineering) A bridge connecting the parts of an estate or property separated by a road, railway, or canal.
- 1825, Laws of the State of New York, in Relation to the Erie and Champlain Canals, page 431:

- A bridge that is required by a landowner in order to access the property, as opposed to one that serves a broader purpose.
