Etymology

Borrowed from English obfuscate, but altered so it seems to be borrowed from Late Latin obfuscāre: obfusco +‎ -ieren.

      In jedem Fall kann die Software nicht einfach von einem Vervielfältigungsmedium (CD, Internet) installiert werden, da der Hersteller die Software vor ihrer Auslieferung kundenspezifisch obfuskieren muss.
      In either case, the software cannot simply be installed from a copying medium (CD, Internet), because the producer has to obfuscate the software in a customer-specific way before its distribution.
