1. (uncountable) Absence of a signature; failure to sign.

     Despite several decisions on nonsignature, the court cases on this subject deal only with unanimous awards.

2. (countable) That which is not a signature.

     But there are many cases where a signature is made that is actually a nonsignature. The bad-check files are full of signatures of “Ima Thief,” “U. R. Had,” and “George Q. Washington,” etc.
