   Mi nomiĝas Vilĉjo. ― I am called Bill.

Usage notes

The standard means of identifying a person (including oneself) is with the noun nomo and the verb esti, e.g., Mia nomo estas ... (literally, "My name is..."). Nomiĝi is used mostly by speakers whose native languages have similar constructions for self-identification (e.g., ones that use reflexive verbs, like Spanish llamarse).
