- Surgeons have experimented with possible combination therapies; most notably Lee et al. showed in a porcine model using histopathological observation that injection of bone marrow-derived MSCs suspended in Hyaluronan (Hylan G-F 20: Synvisc) could home to the site of injury, adhere, proliferate, and lead to neocartilage formation.
