[edit]Etymology
[edit]From nebēda (“carefreeness”) with an extra n (perhaps from the suffix -ens), made into a 2nd-declension masculine noun (with nebēda from ne- + bēda (“sorrow, misfortune”)).

- mazi, kareivīgi noskaņoti puišeļi skraida pa laipām un tiltiņiem un spēlē indiāņu spēles... “hei, mazais, kā tev klājas?” uzsaucam kādam nebēdnim ― little boys with a military imagination were running around in bridges and footbridges, playing Indian games... “hey, baby, how are you doing?” said some mischievous boy
- sievas steidza novākt izžauto veļu, reizēm patriekdamas nost mazos nebēdņus, kas nosmulētām rokām sniedzās noraut no auklas kādu veļas gabalu ― the women rushed to remove the hanging clothes, sometimes chasing away small naughty children who were trying with stretched arms to rip some small piece off the clothes
