muskać
Appearance
Polish
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Inherited from Old Polish muskać. Further etymology uncertain. Perhaps a -sk- extended form of otherwise unattested Slavic continuant of Proto-Balto-Slavic *mautei, from Proto-Indo-European *mew- (“to move”). If so, cognate to Lithuanian máuti (“to scram, skedaddle”).
