- Kamela, or, as it is sometimes termed in India, kinbil, is a powdery substance, obtained from the exterior of the fruit of the Mallotus Philippinensis, or monkey-face tree, a small evergreen species found all over tropical India, the bark of which, it may be mentioned, possesses useful tanning properties.
