Cognate with Cree ᒦᒋᓯᐤ (miicisiw, “he/she eats”), Malecite-Passamaquoddy mitsu (“he/she eats”), Menominee mēcehsow (“he/she eats”), Fox mîchiwa (“he/she eats”), Mahican meetthow (“he/she eats”), Unami mitsu (“he/she eats”), Munsee míitsuw (“he/she eats”).
