- to make (someone) (more) qualified (especially for a job, position, or the like), to qualify (someone)
- Att ha arbetat i kök tidigare är meriterande
- Having worked in a kitchen before is an advantage (makes someone more likely to qualify for the job)
- (reflexive) to make oneself more qualified, like above
