From Malay memaafkan, from Classical Malay memaafkan, mema'afkan. Equivalent to maaf +‎ meng- -kan.

1. (transitive) forgive mistakes et cetera don't assume wrong etc. anymore

   Ia telah memaafkan kesalahanku.
