Etymology

Inherited from Ottoman Turkish مجبوراً (mecburen),[1] from Arabic مَجْبُورًا (majbūran) adverbial accusative of مَجْبُور (majbūr, obliged, compelled), passive participle of جَبَرَ (jabara).[2]By surface analysis, mecbur (compelled) +‎ -en.
