Usage notes

[edit]
  • The usage of this word when referring to a person, e.g. "Ito ang aking matalik na kaibigan na si Louie." or "Wag mo ngang inaaway ang matalik kong kaibigan!", is far dated, now only used in literary contexts, although even there it's rare.
  • When used "indirectly" otherwise, e.g. "Piliin mo ang magiging matatalik mong kaibigan." or "Laging nand'yan ang mga matatalik na kaibigan para makisama't gumabay." it's still sometimes used.
