mad minute (plural mad minutes)

  1. (UK, military) A test of marksmanship with 15 aimed shots at a 12-inch target at 200 yards within one minute.
    • 2013, John J. Gebhart, LBJ's Hired Gun:
      Then the Major got into the game and launched rockets at them, and we all had a few mad minutes having target practice on the Lionel train set.
