[edit]machzor (plural machzors or machzorim)
- (Judaism) A prayerbook for a Jewish holiday.
Usage notes
[edit]Most commonly refers to the prayerbooks for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, because their liturgies are so expanded from everyday prayer. However, machzor properly refers to a prayerbook meant for any Yom Tov.
