Etymology
[edit]From Ottoman Turkish مستحضر (müstahzar, “asked, ordered, remembered”), from Arabic مُسْتَحْضَر (mustaḥḍar), passive participle of اِسْتَحْضَرَ (istaḥḍara, “to ask, summon; to recall”). The noun sense evolved from an older adjectival sense.
